Cookie Policy
Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how upc0z, operated by the Operator, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and how you can manage your choices. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve performance, and to provide information to the site owner. Similar technologies (such as local storage, pixels and tags) work in comparable ways. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".
2. How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to operate the site securely, to remember your session and bet slip, to understand how the site is used, and — only with your consent — to measure and personalise advertising. We group cookies into the categories below.
3. Categories of Cookies
3.1 Strictly Necessary (always active)
These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. They include your login session, security and anti-fraud protection (CSRF), your bet slip contents, and the cookie that records your consent choice.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in and maintains your bet slip. First-party. Session / short-lived.
- CSRF token — protects forms against cross-site request forgery. First-party. Session.
- Consent cookie — remembers your cookie preferences. First-party. Up to 12 months.
3.2 Analytics (consent required)
Help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. If you consent, we may use Google Analytics 4.
- _ga, _ga_* — Google Analytics, distinguishes users and sessions. Up to 24 months.
3.3 Advertising (consent required)
Used to measure advertising performance and, where applicable, to show and personalise advertising, including via Google Ads and remarketing. If you consent, advertising storage is enabled through Google Consent Mode.
- _gcl_* — Google Ads conversion measurement. Up to 90 days.
- _fbp — Meta advertising measurement (if enabled). Up to 90 days.
3.4 Functional (consent required)
Optional features such as live chat support and remembered preferences. These are only set if you consent.
4. Consent and Google Consent Mode
When you first visit the site we show a cookie banner. Until you make a choice, analytics and advertising cookies are not used: our site sets Google Consent Mode to "denied" by default for advertising and analytics storage. Only after you select "Accept all" or enable a category do we update consent to "granted" for that category and allow the related cookies.
You can accept all, reject all, or choose specific categories. "Reject all" is as easy to use as "Accept all". Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them.
5. Managing or Withdrawing Your Consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by selecting Cookie Settings in the footer of any page, which reopens the preferences centre. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. If we update this policy in a way that affects your choices, we will ask you to confirm your preferences again.
6. Third Parties
Some cookies are set by third parties we use, such as Google. Those providers process data in accordance with their own policies. We only enable third-party advertising and analytics cookies where you have consented.
7. Contact
If you have questions about this Cookie Policy or how we handle your data, contact our Privacy Officer at our Privacy Officer (see Contact Us). You may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
You can change your choices anytime via Cookie Settings.
